A federal agent involved in a controversial shooting in Minneapolis, which resulted in the death of 37-year-old Renee Good, has been identified as Jonathan Ross, an Iraq War veteran with nearly two decades of service in law enforcement. Internal records reveal that Ross has been a deportation officer with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) since 2015, previously serving in the Border Patrol.
The incident unfolded on Wednesday when Good attempted to flee federal agents. While authorities have refrained from naming the shooter, Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem disclosed that Ross was involved in an earlier incident last June where he sustained serious injuries.
