President Donald Trump has stated that Iran is motivated to reach a deal to avoid US military action, although Tehran firmly insists that its missile and defense systems will 'never' be on the negotiating table. Trump conveyed this stance during a recent press event at the White House, responding to queries regarding the build-up of US military forces in the Gulf region.

'I can say this, they do want to make a deal,' Trump said. The remark follows warnings made to Tehran about a diminishing timeframe to negotiate terms concerning its nuclear program as a sizable US naval fleet gathers near its coasts.

In response, Iran's foreign minister declared that no talks with the US are currently scheduled, although Tehran remains open to discussions based on 'mutual respect' and trust.

Additionally, the Kremlin reported that the head of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, Ali Larijani, had met with Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss various Middle Eastern and international topics.

Iran maintains that its nuclear ambitions are entirely peaceful and has consistently denied accusations from the US and its allies that it is attempting to develop nuclear weapons.

When probed about potential deadlines for Iran to strike a deal, Trump remarked that 'only they know for sure,' while expressing hope for an agreement. He noted that a large 'Armada' was en route to the area, without providing specifics on its possible withdrawal. Trump's remarks come in the wake of heightened tensions due to domestic unrest in Iran and accusations regarding human rights violations.
