Three injured in Warsaw school knife attack, suspect arrested
A 21‑year‑old woman was detained after she stabbed a 17‑year‑old girl and two other students in a Warsaw school on Saturday. The victims were taken to hospital with injuries that were not life‑threatening.
The assault arrives a day after a 19‑year‑old student injured nine people at a vocational school earlier this week and a caretaker was killed near Warsaw. Polish police suspect a possible link to a viral online challenge.
Prime Minister Donald Tusk emphasised that "no room for compromise" exists when it comes to school safety. A total of 76 people have been detained across Poland following the wave of attacks.
Police are still investigating whether the killer had any connection to the earlier assaults, and authorities urge parents to remain vigilant and report suspicious behaviour.
