Woman Injures Three in Third Polish School Knife Attack This Week

The 21‑year‑old woman was arrested after stabbing a 17‑year‑old girl at a Warsaw school, marking the third knife attack recorded at educational institutions in Poland this week.

The assault left one teenager seriously injured, while two other women—aged 17 and 24—were wounded while submitting enrolment documents. All victims were taken to hospital; the girl’s condition was not life‑threatening.

Police say the suspect is a student who seemingly did not know any of the victims. Authorities have been deploying security teams to schools nationwide following three incidents, and so far 76 people have been arrested.

Prime Minister Donald Tusk warned that "there is no room for compromise" on school safety, and Interior Minister Marcin Kierwiński noted a possible link to an online challenge.

Earlier this week, a 19‑year‑old student stabbed nine people at a vocational school in the Masovian province, and a 37‑year‑old caretaker was slain in a primary school in Leszczydół‑Nowiny after a 15‑year‑old entered the premises.
