The Russian Emergencies Ministry has dispatched fire and rescue units to the scene to search for additional victims who may have been on board the train. In a statement shared via Telegram, Moscow Railway indicated that the bridge fell due to "illegal interference in transport operations." Local governor Alexander Bogomaz confirmed the tragic news of the seven fatalities and mentioned that two individuals, among them a child, are in serious condition.
All victims have been transported to medical facilities in the Bryansk region, where authorities are coordinating a response. An investigation has commenced, as announced by Moscow's interregional transport prosecutor's office.
