In brief

Air Arabia announced on 12 December 2026 that it would operate two daily flights between Moscow’s Domodedovo Airport and Sharjah International Airport. The new G9 951 flight will depart at 15:20 Moscow time and the existing G9 806 will remain at 22:55 Moscow time, boosting passenger options to a range of destinations via Sharjah. While the expansion promises increased connectivity, flight‑status uncertainty remains amid broader UAE‑flight disruptions reported by Gulf News.

Air Arabia will increase its services between Moscow’s Domodedovo Airport and Sharjah International Airport to two daily flights, starting 12 December 2026, according to a statement reported by TASS.

The new service, designated G9 951, will depart Domodedovo at 15:20 Moscow time (14:20 Sharjah time). It will be flown on an Airbus A320neo configured with a single‑class cabin that seats 174 passengers. The planned flight duration is five hours and 40 minutes. The airline highlighted that this addition will broaden travel opportunities via Sharjah to destinations such as the Maldives, Phuket, Colombo, Bangkok, Jeddah, Medina and Dhaka.

Air Arabia’s existing daily flight, G9 806, will continue to operate on the 22:55 Moscow time schedule (18:50 Sharjah time). The scheduled arrival in Moscow is 22:55 local time, and the flight returns from Sharjah to Domodedovo at that same hour each day.

The expansion is intended to improve connectivity for passengers traveling to Moscow from the UAE and for travelers who wish to connect onto further destinations through Sharjah’s growing hub status.

Outside of the new flight service, Gulf News reported that UAE flights face disruptions with cancellations and delays on Saudi routes, advising passengers to check flight status before heading to the airport. The report does not specify whether Air Arabia’s schedule changes will be affected by the wider disruptions.

At this time, it remains unclear if the increased frequency will encounter the same operational challenges cited by Gulf News. Air Arabia has not yet addressed this potential impact, and no updates from the carrier’s networks regarding scheduling adjustments have been released.

Thus, while the airline’s announcement confirms the addition of a second daily flight and clarifies the scheduled times and aircraft details, the possible influence of regional flight disruptions on the new service remains an open question. The only certainty is that, as of 12 December 2026, travellers will see an additional slot for Moscow‑Sharjah journeys at 15:20 Moscow time, intended to broaden connectivity to a broad array of destinations via Sharjah.
