Tragic Explosions at Pennsylvania Nursing Home Claim Two Lives
Two individuals have died, and twenty others sustained injuries following two explosions and a fire at the Silver Lake Nursing Home in Bristol, Pennsylvania. Emergency responders were alerted to the initial explosion and a gas odor at approximately 14:00 local time on Tuesday.
Fire Chief Kevin Dippolito reported that after the evacuations, a second explosion occurred just 15 to 30 seconds later, resulting in a partial collapse of the building.
Local gas company PECO is investigating the situation, emphasizing that it is still undetermined whether their equipment contributed to the explosions. Following the blasts, images shared on social media depicted massive flames erupting from the site.
