Yung Filly Faces New Reckless Driving Charges While Under Rape Investigation
YouTuber Yung Filly, real name Andrés Felipe Valencia Barrientos, is in legal trouble as he faces reckless driving charges while already on bail for serious sexual assault allegations.
YouTuber Yung Filly, whose real name is Andrés Felipe Valencia Barrientos, is facing additional legal challenges as reports emerge from Australia regarding new charges of reckless driving. The 29-year-old social media personality is already under scrutiny for allegations of sexual assault involving a woman.
According to police, Barrientos was caught on speed cameras driving at 158km/h (98mph) on a highway near Perth last month, a notable infringement given that the area's speed limit is 100km/h. The incident of speeding reportedly occurred on November 17 in High Wycombe, and authorities have seized his vehicle as part of the investigation.
Barrientos is scheduled to appear in court on November 19 to face charges of reckless driving, alongside multiple counts for sexual offenses, including four counts of sexual penetration without consent and three counts of assault causing bodily harm. He is also charged with the physical act of impeding a person's normal breathing by applying pressure to their neck.
The allegations stem from an incident after Barrientos's performance at Bar1 nightclub in Perth, where it is alleged he took a woman in her 20s back to his hotel room. The rapper has been on tour in Australia, but these serious charges have overshadowed his career. Aside from his presence on YouTube, Barrientos has made appearances on BBC Three and participated in well-known events like ITV's Soccer Aid and Channel 4's Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer.
Notably, he won a Mobo Award as the best media personality in 2021, showing a promising trajectory before these current legal issues emerged.
