A tense situation unfolded on a Jetstar flight departing from Avalon Airport, Melbourne, when a 17-year-old armed with a shotgun attempted to gain control of the aircraft. The incident occurred on Thursday afternoon, as the plane was preparing to take off with 160 passengers destined for Sydney. Witnesses reported that the teenager breached security measures by climbing over a fence to access the tarmac.
As the armed youth ascended the aircraft steps, he was subdued by three quick-thinking passengers and crew members.
