All flights to and from Denmark's largest airport have been suspended after drone sightings, police have stated.


Between two to three large drones were reported flying in the area around Copenhagen Airport, leading to the temporary halt of all take-offs and landings since approximately 20:30 local time.


[The airport] is currently closed for take-off and landing, as 2-3 large drones have been seen flying in the area. The time horizon is currently unknown, police mentioned in a statement on X.


A spokesperson for Copenhagen Airport later confirmed to Reuters that the airspace over the airport is closed due to the unidentified drone activity.


Police are investigating the matter and we currently have no timeline for reopening, added the spokesperson.
