Haaland’s Buzz Cut Marks New Season Launch

Erling Haaland has traded the famous blonde locks signed by Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Gareth Bale for a razor‑sharp buzz cut as he prepares for the start of the Premier League. The Manchester City striker posted a photo of himself with a newly shaved head on Instagram, captioning it “New season, new trim.” The 26‑year‑old is hoping the fresh look will help him keep scoring in the city‑city clash with Bournemouth.

Before showing off the finished style, Haaland shared a series of images from throughout his career, ranging from his early days at Molde to stints with Borussia Dortmund. The pictures spanned both the long man bun era and comedic sketches of potential haircuts – including a “military” buzz cut that hint at a bold new direction.

The haircut sparked instant reactions from friends and colleagues. Jack Grealish posted his own thrilled selfie describing the change as “10 years younger.” Former City manager Pep Guardiola praised the new style: “I love it, you look about 10 years old.” The British rock legend Noel Gallagher also celebrated the look, saying “Your new hair is hilarious.” At the same time, Zlatan Ibrahimovic took a teasing turn, asking Haaland why he “lost a bet” for cutting his hair.

He added, "I want a buzz cut, like in the military," while Ibrahimovic rapped back that the Norwegian grew up following his own hair advice. Despite the jokes, the only thing left for Haaland to do now is prove his new haircut can stand up to the pressures of the Premier League. The match against Bournemouth is the first test of both his scoring prowess and his daring new look.
