Golden, the inescapable hit from the movie KPop Demon Hunters, has made history by becoming the first ever K-Pop song to win a Grammy Award.
Performed by the fictional band Huntr/x, it picked up best song for visual media as the awards ceremony unfolded in Los Angeles. Additionally, it is nominated for song of the year.
Other early winners included British stars Yungblud, The Cure, and FKA Twigs, while the Dalai Lama won best audiobook, and eight-year-old Aura V became the youngest Grammy recipient ever for best children's album.
Ahead of the main ceremony, Kendrick Lamar continued his winning streak, taking home three awards including best rap song for TV Off.
Released last June, KPop Demon Hunters became Netflix's most-viewed movie of all time, with over 480 million views. The soundtrack also topped the Billboard charts, marking the first soundtrack to do so since Disney's Encanto.
Golden's success showcases the growing acknowledgment of K-Pop's cultural and commercial significance, as artists like Blackpink's Rosé also contend for notable awards. Meanwhile, the Recording Academy continues to expand its inclusivity, having welcomed various K-Pop contributors into its voting body.
