**Smokey Robinson Faces Criminal Inquiry Amid Sexual Assault Allegations**

This development follows a lawsuit filed last week in Los Angeles Superior Court by four anonymous plaintiffs, who claim the 85-year-old singer-songwriter committed acts including sexual battery, false imprisonment, negligence, and gender violence. The suit, which has garnered significant media attention, entails charges dating back to 2006, with the plaintiffs alleging that Robinson coerced them into sexual situations.
