Navalny's Widow Claims Poisoning Evidence in Prison Death

The widow of the late Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny, Yulia Navalnaya, has alleged that her husband was murdered by poisoning during his imprisonment in a harsh Arctic penal colony. In a social media video, she stated that two international laboratories confirmed his death was caused by poison, urging them to make their findings public. Navalny passed away unexpectedly on February 16, 2024, at the age of 47, after having been arrested under dubious charges and serving three years in jail.

Navalny had previously survived a near-fatal poisoning in 2020 with a Novichok nerve agent, for which he was treated in Germany before returning to Russia where he was promptly jailed. His death raised numerous speculations, with many of his supporters accusing the Russian government of being complicit in his demise.

Yulia expressed her determination to challenge the official narratives, stating that the laboratories involved were reluctant to disclose their findings due to potential political backlash. She accused Russian President Vladimir Putin directly, asserting his culpability in her husband's death and defining Navalny as a symbol of hope for a better future for our country. Despite Yulia's ongoing struggle for justice, the Kremlin has largely maintained silence regarding her statements.
