Tragic Loss: R&B Star Angie Stone Passes Away in Accident

Angie Stone, the beloved Grammy-nominated R&B singer, has tragically died at the age of 63 following a car accident.

The iconic artist, known for hits like "No More Rain (In This Cloud)" and "Wish I Didn't Miss You," was involved in a van rollover in Alabama according to reports from her daughter and various media outlets.

Angie Stone, whose career began in the 1970s with the groundbreaking hip-hop trio The Sequence, was a cherished figure in music. Her daughter, Diamond Stone, confirmed the news via Facebook, expressing her heartbreak with the words, "My mommy is gone." Sources indicate the accident occurred early Saturday after Stone had completed a performance. The van, carrying Stone and nine other passengers, overturned, leading to her untimely death — she was the only fatality reported. Fellow artist Guy Todd Williams, known as Rahiem from Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, remarked on her legacy, noting the significant impact she made on the music industry. Stone also appeared in films, making her acting debut in the comedy "The Hot Chick" and featuring in "The Fighting Temptations." Her family is currently in Montgomery, Alabama, and they intend to share more information about the incident in due course.
