A former model claims she was groped by Donald Trump in the 1990s, igniting controversy just ahead of the upcoming election.
A former model, Stacey Williams, has came forward with allegations of misconduct against Donald Trump, claiming in a CNN interview that the former president groped her during the 1990s. Williams recounts that the incident took place in 1993 when she was introduced to Trump at Trump Tower in New York City by then-boyfriend Jeffrey Epstein, a notorious financier later convicted for sex crimes.
According to Williams, as soon as Trump approached her, he allegedly pulled her into him, with his hands lingering on her body in a way she described as an "out of body experience." She expressed feeling frozen at the moment, unable to react as they interacted while Epstein and Trump spoke nearby.
The Trump campaign responded to her allegations, labeling them as false and politically driven. Campaign spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt highlighted that Williams initially shared her account during an event for Kamala Harris's campaign, suggesting that the timing of these accusations was intended to distract from allegations against Doug Emhoff, Harris's husband.
Emhoff faced accusations from a former girlfriend who claimed he had "forcefully slapped" her in 2012, though he firmly denied the charge through a spokesperson. As speculation around these incidents continues to gain traction, the Harris campaign has yet to issue an official statement in response.
Williams also noted that her relationship with Epstein ended shortly after the alleged groping incident. Since Trump's political ascendance in 2016, numerous allegations of sexual misconduct have emerged against him, all of which he has denied. In a related legal development, a jury found him liable for sexually abusing writer E. Jean Carroll in 2023, resulting in multiple defamation lawsuits that Carroll won against him due to derogatory comments he made. The upcoming 2024 election is sure to be shaped by these ongoing claims and controversies.
