A judge in Wisconsin has been taken into custody by federal agents following claims that she attempted to assist an undocumented immigrant evade immigration enforcement. According to the US Marshalls Service, Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Hannah Dugan was apprehended on Friday morning. The allegations surfaced after FBI Director Kash Patel posted on social media, later deleting the message, stating that Dugan facilitated Eduardo Flores-Ruiz's escape from her courtroom. Flores-Ruiz, a Mexican national, was facing three misdemeanor battery charges. Despite the attempt to evade arrest, he was subsequently apprehended and appeared in a scheduled hearing at the Milwaukee court on 18 April.
Reports from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel indicate that US Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers were present in the courtroom at the time.
