U.S. District Judge Paula Xinis issued the ruling, requiring that Garcia be brought back to the United States by Monday. The deportation was deemed an "administrative error" by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), noting that Garcia had been granted protections against deportation by an immigration judge in 2019. Despite claims from the White House that Garcia is affiliated with the notorious MS-13 gang, his legal team asserts that there is a lack of evidence to support these allegations, pointing out that he has no criminal charges in any jurisdiction.
