Ukrainian Missile Strike Targets Russian Military Plant in Cheboksary
On the night of 10 June 2026, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky released a Telegram post announcing that a strike by FP‑5 Flamingo cruise missiles hit a drone and missile plant in the city of Cheboksary, Chuvash Republic, located some 900 kilometres (560 miles) from Russia’s front‑line.

Local officials said at least three people were injured in the attack, and the Chuvash Republic head confirmed that the facility had been struck, though the extent of damage remains unverified.
The strike forms part of a broad Ukrainian strategy to hit key Russian production sites: earlier this month the government also announced attacks on the port‑city of Mariupol, a refinery in Samara, and an oil tanker in the Black Sea.
Russian air‑defence units reported that they had intercepted or destroyed 326 Ukrainian drones overnight, while Kyiv’s air force said it had shot down 181 of 207 drones fired by Russian forces on the same night, registering 21 direct hits across 14 locations.
Despite the heavy Ukrainian activity, President Putin has declined to discuss settlement proposals and continues to insist that Russian troops are advancing everywhere on a front that has largely remained static.
