Italian fashion designer Valentino Garavani, known as Valentino, has died at the age of 93.
In a statement posted on Instagram, the Valentino Garavani and Giancarlo Giammetti Foundation stated: He passed away peacefully in his Roman home, surrounded by the love of his family.
The foundation announced that Valentino will lie in state at Piazza Mignanelli between January 21 and January 22.
Valentino's funeral service will take place at the Basilica of Saint Mary of the Angels and Martyrs on January 23, as family and friends gather to honor his life and contributions to the fashion industry.
