When the U.S. Office of Government Ethics released Donald Trump’s 2025 annual financial disclosure, the resulting 927‑page document was the longest ever filed by a sitting president. It dwarfed Vice‑President JD Vance’s 17‑page report and even Joe Biden’s 11‑page 2024 filing, reflecting the aggressive and diversified ways Trump has turned his name into a brand.

Merchandising proved to be a major money‑maker. Trump’s logo on a coffee‑table book earned $1.8 million last year, while a Bible stamped with his signature brought in $208,000. Other items—his perfume, branded trainers and a limited edition guitar—added another $67,000, making branded products a surprisingly high‑margin revenue stream.

Melania Trump capitalised on the “Trump” brand with a $40 million Amazon‑produced documentary. The filmmaker earned $10.7 million as a producer and subject, and the film sold for $7 million at the box office. Additional income came from an NFT sale of $6 million and a book of the same name worth $520,000.

Share trading activity was equally prolific. Trump logged 21,285 separate trades in 2025, with a large portion directed at Nvidia, the AI‑chip maker heavily involved in U.S.–China trade talks. In August, Trump’s proxy investors bought $5 million to $25 million of Nvidia stock after the company agreed to contribute 15 % of its revenue from a Chinese chip sale.

An unlikely source of income came from a cameo in Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, where Donald Trump appears briefly in the Plaza Hotel lobby. He earned a total of $86,532 from two SAG‑AFTRA pensions that paid out through that role, showing that even a cameo can be monetised through unions.

Finally, Trump’s legal battles with media firms produced a striking $86.5 million haul. Meta paid $24.5 million to settle suspended‑account claims, while Paramount and ABC News each paid $16 million. Additional payouts of $22 million from YouTube and $8 million from Twitter’s owner settled claims over access bans following the 2021 Capitol riot. These funds were earmarked for the Trump presidential library, the National Mall trust and home‑grown projects.
