Watch: Fishermen rescued after five days adrift in cool box

The Mexican Navy rescued two fishermen 150 miles off the coast of Chiapas on 19 August after a five‑day disappearance.

Search crews were dispatched after the fishing cooperative lost contact on 15 August and the men sent a distress signal.

When the rescue vessel arrived, the two men were found afloat inside a cool box—an insulated container normally used to preserve caught fish on a boat.

They were medically evaluated before being reunited with their families.
