SANTA ANA, Calif. — Jon Alan Hale, a passionate Disneyland fan, celebrated an extraordinary accomplishment this week by completing his 15,000th ride on the Radiator Springs Racers at Disney California Adventure, a renowned attraction inspired by the animated film 'Cars'.

Having undergone significant health changes due to gastric bypass and knee replacement surgeries, Hale's love for the ride blossomed after its opening in 2012. He meticulously jots down details of each ride in a notebook, noting the color of his car and whether he wins or loses. 'I fell in love with the ride,' said Hale, a television technician from Brea, California.

As part of his celebratory tradition, Hale carried a sign to mark every hundred rides. He fondly recalls how Disneyland cast members applauded him when he reached the milestone of 1,000 rides. For his 15,000th experience, Hale invited friends from the park, showcasing his journey with a special 'Cars' themed cap and a sign marked with '15,000'.

With over 1,100 visits to the Anaheim resort, known as the 'Happiest Place on Earth', Hale estimates he rides the attraction around 13 times per visit, thanks to the fast pass for single riders. 'I never get tired of it, especially since you never know which car will lead to victory,' he commented, highlighting the unpredictable nature of the race.

While Disneyland officials have not commented on Hale's achievement, he cherishes the friendships he's formed at the park. 'It’s like family,' Hale expressed. 'Everybody recognizes me and they’re rooting for me.' His extraordinary journey serves as a testament to the joy and community that Disneyland fosters among its guests.
