TUNIS, Tunisia (FluxDaily) — Activists aboard the Global Sumud Flotilla, an international initiative seeking to breach the Israeli blockade of Gaza, reported a second night of attacks on their vessels. On Wednesday, the British-flagged boat 'Alma' was targeted by a drone while docked in Tunisian waters. Fortunately, no individuals were harmed in the incident.

Activists shared footage from security cameras showing onboard members shouting 'fire' as flames erupted from projectiles that fell onto the deck, causing an explosion.

This latest assault mirrors an earlier incident involving the Portuguese-flagged vessel 'Family,' which reportedly also came under attack. Tunisian authorities have denied allegations of drone involvement in the first strike and have initiated an investigation. There has yet to be a response regarding the follow-up attack.

Launched from Barcelona with a scant amount of humanitarian supplies on September 1, the flotilla has about 20 boats and aimed to stop in Tunisia before heading towards Gaza.

In their statement, the activists remarked, 'These repeat attacks come during intensified Israeli aggression on Palestinians in Gaza, and are an orchestrated attempt to distract and derail our mission.' Despite the danger, the Global Sumud Flotilla remains committed to its cause.

As of now, Israeli authorities have not commented on the incidents.
