US President Donald Trump has officially announced that his relationship with tech entrepreneur Elon Musk has come to an end. In an interview with NBC News, Trump stated, "I would assume so, yeah," when asked if his bond with Musk had soured. When prompted about the possibility of reconciliation, Trump decisively replied, "No," marking a significant shift in their public dynamics.

The fallout follows Musk's public criticism of Trump’s crucial domestic policy—the Big Beautiful Bill. This tension surfaced after Musk, who was previously a staunch supporter and major donor to Trump’s election campaign, expressed doubts about the bill's financial implications, claiming it would add trillions to the national deficit and undermine his initiatives at the Department of Government Efficiency (Doge).
