In front of the main altar at the Church of Santa Maria Addolorata, Mariarosa Cavañas, an Argentine nurse, kindled a candle for the Pope's recovery, surrounded by fellow expatriates. The Vatican recently reported that while the Pope’s condition had stabilized, he had experienced acute respiratory issues. Many expressed sadness and hope for his swift recovery, highlighting the close-knit bond felt towards him among the community, who feel a special connection to their native son, the Holy Father.
