An emergency command center has been established at the site, with China’s President Xi Jinping describing the rescue operation as an "all-out" effort to locate those trapped. Photos released by state media depict a large-scale collapse of mud and rocks cascading down a steep hillside into the village below.
In response to the crisis, hundreds of emergency workers have mobilized to search for any remaining survivors, as stated by the Ministry of Emergency Management. Approximately 200 villagers have already been evacuated from the affected area.
