Tragic Loss: Dayle Haddon, Iconic Model and Actress, Passes Away
Dayle Haddon, renowned for her beauty and talent, has tragically died due to a carbon monoxide leak in Pennsylvania, leaving behind a legacy of grace and creativity.
Model and actress Dayle Haddon has sadly passed away, with authorities confirming her death due to a carbon monoxide leak at a residence in Pennsylvania. The incident also left another individual hospitalized. Haddon, celebrated for her work with global brands like Estée Lauder and L'Oreal, graced the covers of prestigious magazines including Sports Illustrated and Vogue Paris during the 1970s.
Authorities revealed they received a call early Friday morning reporting a 76-year-old man, identified as Walter J. Blucas, who had lost consciousness in the first-floor area of the detached residence in Bucks County. Haddon, 76, was discovered deceased in a second-floor bedroom. Blucas, suffering critical injuries, is the father-in-law of Haddon’s daughter.
The home reportedly belongs to Ryan Haddon, a former journalist, and her husband, actor Marc Blucas. A preliminary investigation indicated that the carbon monoxide leak stemmed from a malfunctioning exhaust pipe linked to the building's heating system. Emergency responders faced challenges as high carbon monoxide levels affected them too, leading to two medics being treated for exposure at a nearby hospital, while a police officer was treated on-site.
Born in Quebec, Canada, Dayle Haddon initially pursued dance as a ballerina before transitioning to modeling and acting, with roles in films like The World's Greatest Athlete (1973) and North Dallas Forty (1979). Ryan Haddon paid tribute to her late mother on Instagram, describing her as a "woman in her power" and praising her creative spirit and kind nature. "A high-hearted spiritual being," she stated, "who valued her soul's evolution."
