Prolific Predator: Chinese Student Convicted of Rape Faces Sentencing in London
Zou Zhenhao, recognized as one of London's most dangerous criminals, is set for sentencing after drugging and assaulting multiple women across two countries.
In a shocking turn of events, Zou Zhenhao, a 28-year-old Chinese student, stands on the brink of sentencing in London following his conviction for drugging and raping at least ten women both in the United Kingdom and his native China. The disturbing case has drawn the attention of law enforcement, highlighting Zou as one of the most notorious predators they’ve ever encountered.
Zou's crimes occurred between September 2019 and May 2023, during which he is believed to have not only assaulted numerous women but also recorded the horrific encounters with hidden cameras in his residences. Investigators have identified potential video evidence indicating that there may be as many as 50 additional victims, marking a widespread pattern of exploitation.
Originally hailing from Dongguan in southeastern China, Zou was enrolled in a mechanical engineering program at University College London at the time of his assaults. His tactics included luring victims from the student community as well as utilizing social media and dating platforms. Commander Kevin Southworth, who guided the investigation, emphasized the gravity of the situation, acknowledging that many victims may not even be aware they were assaulted due to the memory-dampening effects of the drugs used.
The Metropolitan Police department has since reached out to previously unidentified victims, urging anyone who may have encountered Zou to step forward. With many potential victims possibly lost to the obscure nature of the recordings, officials fear that some women depicted may never receive justice.
