Engineer Cristina Balan, who raised safety concerns about Tesla vehicles, has reversed an arbitration ruling against her, breathing new life into her defamation claim and preparing for a potential showdown with Elon Musk in court.

In a significant turn of events, Tesla whistleblower Cristina Balan has emerged victorious in her long-standing legal battle against Elon Musk and Tesla Inc. After being terminated for bringing forward safety concerns regarding a braking system design flaw in 2014, Balan's career was derailed. Although an initial arbitration ruling dismissed her claims, the California appellate court has now reversed that decision, allowing her legal fight to proceed.

Speaking to BBC News, Balan expressed her readiness to confront Musk in an open court setting, stating, "We are hoping we will start a new lawsuit and we will have the chance to take on Elon Musk in front of a jury and judge."
