Heavy rainfall has triggered devastating landslides and flash floods across northern India, particularly impacting areas near the popular Hindu shrine, Vaishno Devi, in Indian-administered Kashmir. Since Tuesday, over 30 lives have been lost due to the relentless floods that have swept away roads and submerged homes. The torrential rains have also affected regions in Himachal Pradesh and Punjab, resulting in blocked access and significant property damage. Currently, rescue operations are underway, with authorities utilizing helicopters and boats for evacuations, striving to reach those stranded amid the dangerous conditions.
