Queen Camilla Postpones Royal Duties Amid Health Concerns

Queen Camilla, 77, has reluctantly withdrawn from two planned royal engagements due to a chest infection, as announced by Buckingham Palace on Tuesday. This development follows her recent return from a royal tour in Australia and Samoa last month. Her absence will be felt at upcoming events, particularly a significant one scheduled at Westminster Abbey on Thursday.

The palace stated that Queen Camilla is currently advised to rest to aid her recovery. In her apology to those affected by her cancellation, she expressed disappointment at being unable to fulfill her royal duties this week. Medical professionals are optimistic that the queen will regain her strength in time for Remembrance Day ceremonies, which pay tribute to armed forces members who lost their lives in service.

While the queen recuperates at home under medical supervision, the royal family is experiencing a challenging period marked by health issues. King Charles and Catherine, Princess of Wales, have both received treatment for cancer this year. King Charles made a public return in April after a brief hiatus following his diagnosis, while Princess Catherine disclosed her health struggle in March and has since returned to some public engagements.
