Cryptocurrency Executive's Family Targeted in Paris Kidnap Attempt

A violent kidnapping attempt occurred in Paris's 11th district, where a masked gang targeted the daughter and young grandson of a cryptocurrency company chief. The dramatic scene unfolded early Tuesday morning and was captured on video by a witness. Despite the gang's aggressive tactics, the family bravely fought back against the three attackers, calling for help as they struggled to stay together. Local bystanders eventually intervened, leading the assailants to flee in a white van.

According to police reports, the woman targeted is related to the co-founder of the French Bitcoin exchange Paymium. The incident reportedly began at around 08:20 when the attackers exited their van and attempted to abduct the mother and child. Her husband attempted to protect them but sustained injuries during the confrontation as he was beaten. In a moment of defiance, the woman successfully seized a firearm from one of the attackers, only to discover later that it was a replica air gun.

Fortunately for the family, they only sustained minor injuries and received medical treatment at a local hospital. This incident comes on the heels of a similar kidnapping involving the father of a cryptocurrency millionaire, a victim who was held for ransom before being rescued, albeit with severe injuries.
